“The Palestinian-Canadian UAE-based author, Nor Arab, founder and owner of Nour Publishing, member of Emirates Publishers Association, Arab Children’s Book Publishers Forum, Emirates Writers Union, and General Union of Palestinian Writers, has broken all records in the children’s literature field by “creating a new methodology in writing children stories” Gulf Today newspaper, November 2020.
Inspired to see the world through the curious eyes of children, Arab has reflected the beautiful details that take place in every family home in the presence of a child in all her bilingual children stories. Today, her story series, Samsoom, Naya, and Fahood are available in all the U.A.E. bookstores and reach anywhere in the world. Nor Arab’s Samsoom Loves the Sleepy Moon and A Flower for Mommy are being translated into French language and are to be distributed by Bookland Press INC in North America soon. They are also being translated into Serbian and are to be published soon by Agora Publishing House in Serbian, Montenegro, and all Serbian territories as a bilingual series (Serbian/ English).
Although Arab is still in her thirties, she has published more than 90 children’s picture books. She has been under the media spotlight especially of U.A.E. T.V. channels, A.U.S. University News, and many newspapers and radio shows. A selection of her stories will be displayed and read on the most renowned Arab TV channel platform, MBC Shahid via “Let’s Read” TV show.
She has been invited as a guest speaker at Northwestern University (among top 10 universities in the world) to talk about her experience in writing. She has been named as “the youngest Arab female publisher” according to Al Wahda Newspaper, 2019.
Nour Publishing is a pioneer in publishing bilingual children’s stories and always keen on participating in book fairs and publishers conference.
